Indore: Salman Khan has joined the list of Bollywood stars supporting Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption.
Salman, who visited the city on Wednesday to promote his upcoming romantic-action flick ‘Bodyguard’, told reporters that though he is unaware about the details of the Janlokpal Bill, he wants Anna to break his 10-day old fast as soon as possible.
“Anna is on fast for the last 10 days. I want him to break his fast as soon as possible. The prime minister should take a decision in favour of the people of the country,” said Salman.
When enquired about Lokpal and corruption, he said that while both are different subjects he finds nothing wrong in small scale corruption.
“If someone breaks traffic signal or is not wearing a helmet and a constable asks him to pay some bribe then I find nothing wrong that. You have to understand this, what salary a constable gets. He has to feed numerous mouths,” said Salman.
“Small scale corruption can be stopped as it is a matter of one’s conscience. But don’t know when the people involved in corruption of thousands of crore of rupees will listen to their conscience,” he added.
‘Bodyguard’ showers love on Indore
Reminiscing his association with Indore, Salman Khan said he has been visiting the city since his childhood but regretted the fact he couldn’t spend much time here.
My heart has a special place for Indore. Our house, bungalow, farm, everything is close to my heart, he said.
“I miss Indore badly. Roaming in my farm, Indore’s lassi, aam, jamun, I miss all this,” he said.
Salman also reiterated that he would marry a girl from Indore if he finds a suitable match.
