Sanju-Salman shoot eleven videos in two days

Bigg Boss 5 is gearing up to come on air early October. Before that, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan will be seen across 10 audio-visual promos and a music video to promote the show they’re co-hosting for the first time. The shooting was completed in July in a city studio within 48 hours.
Conceptualised by Hemant Kumar and Rupesh Kashyap from Orchard Advertising Agency, the videos have been directed by Rohit Shetty.
One of the promos shows them enjoying each other’s company over maska-pav and cutting chai. The others show them chilling on a car bonnet, sleeping on each other’s laps, playing carrom, chatting on a see-saw, riding a Sholay bike and working out.
The first two promos are likely to be on air starting this weekend. Rajesh Iyer, associate vice president, marketing, Colors, the show’s broadcaster, agrees that his anchors haven’t grown up yet. “Sallu and Baba are known as the original brats of Bollywood. That was essentially what we wanted to bring out in the videos. We wanted them to have fun. And to our surprise, they even added a lot of lines pretty spontaneously on the sets. Those additions made the final videos a lot more fun and entertaining,” he says.
In the restaurant promo...
Salman: Is ghar mein koi bhangra karega toh koi takilla
Sanjay: Aur kisi ka character definitely hoga dheela!
Salman: Haan, raapchik model banegi bai!
Sanjay: Aur koi shaana karega toilet ki safaai!
Salman: Poocho why, why why why, why? Kyoke inko hai jeetne ki ghay ghay ghay ghay!
‘Sure we’ll have a blast’
Sanjay Dutt, who makes his small screen debut with Bigg Boss 5 alongside Salman Khan, says, “I’m delighted and looking forward to my TV debut. I loved watching Salman host the last season. I thought he was mind-blowing with his sense of humour and inimitable style. I’m sure we’ll have a blast this season. Bole to contestants ki vaat hai mamu!”
